1966 International Harvester Scout 80/800

Last week I bought another Scout.  This one identifies as a 66 Scout 800.     It has the main body (and VIN) from an 800.  The doors are from a very early 80 with sliding windows.  It has a 4 cylinder that the seller said is a 196 but right now I don’t know that for sure.  The clutch is mechanical linkage which matches with an 800 (earlier ones had a hydraulic clutch).  It has the travel top with a chrome luggage rack although the PO said it had a short top when they got it.  Bucket seats in front and a rear seat for the chitlins.      The wheels are 16x7 and the tires are reproduction 1960s tall skinny bias plys.  The axles look like Dana 30 front and rear.  The master cylinder is a shiny new dual reservoir unit operating disks in front and drums in back.  I'd guess that the front axle is from a newer Scout with disk brakes but it could be a conversion kit.  I won't know until I have a reason to take the front wheels off.         It has the GM style distributor with Pertronix
